40. Harold⁴ Udelhofen (George Nicholas³, Gerhart (Jerry)², Nicholas¹) was born in Livingston, Grant Cty, WI March 15, 1918. Harold died March 19, 1990 in Platteville, Grant Cty, WI, at 72 years of age.

He married Mary Jane McDonald. Mary was born in Texas August 12, 1915. Mary died May 8, 1978 in Contra Costa Cty, CA, at 62 years of age. Platteville Journal March 22, 1990 Harold Udelhofen Harold Udelhofen, 72, 44 E. Main St., Platteville, died Monday, March 19, 1990 at Parkview Terrace Nursing Home after a long illness. He was born at Livingston on March 15, 1918, the son of George and Theresa Langkamp Udelhofen. He was a World War II veteran after serving in the Army. He operated Udelhofen's Garage in Platteville and the star mail route to Potosi, Kieler, and Dickeyville for many years. He was united in marriage to Mary Jane McDonald who preceded him in death on May 8, 1978. Survivors include two sons, Steve, Platteville, and David of California; one step-daughter, Sally Grimm, Concord, Cal.; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Alberta Wieland, Winthrop, Ia., and Mrs. Bob (Helen) Smith, Las Vegas, Nev.; and one brother, Leland, Tennyson. Services were held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Platteville with burial in the St. Andrew's Cemetery, Tennyson. Fr. Mike Doro, pastor, officiated. The Mergen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
