41. Alberta Gertrude⁴ Udelhofen (George Nicholas³, Gerhart (Jerry)², Nicholas¹) was born in Paris Twsp, Grant Cty, WI March 19, 1920. Alberta died March 17, 2006 in Independence, IA, at 85 years of age.

She married Harlyn Wieland in Grant Cty, WI, June 21, 1948. Harlyn was born in Grant Cty, WI January 25, 1922. Harlyn died April 22, 1978 at 56 years of age. Telegraph Herald March 19, 2006 WINTHROP, Iowa - Mrs. Alberta (Udelhofen) Wieland, 85, of Winthrop, died Friday, March 17, 2006, at Buchanan County Health Center, Independence, following a short illness. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Monti, with the Rev. Aloysius Vorwald officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Church Cemetery, Monti. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Fawcett's Funeral and Cremation Service, Winthrop, where there will be a scripture service at 7:30 p.m. Surviving are four sons, Ted (Mary), of Winthrop, Dean (Renita) and Jeff (Joan), both of Independence, and Paul, of Waterloo; a daughter, Paula (Rick) Heckenlively, of Spirit Lake; 26 grandchildren and three great-grandsons; a brother, Leland Udelhofen, of Potosi, Wis.; and a sister-in-law, Patricia Wieland, of Denton, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Theresa (Lankamp) Udelhoffen; her husband, Harlyn; a daughter, Mary Jo Sloan; a grandson, David Sloan; a brother, Harold Udelhofen; and a sister, Helen Smith.

Alberta Gertrude Udelhofen and Harlyn Wieland had the following children:

+ 115 iv. Mary Jo Wieland.
