44. Raymond Jerry⁴ Udelhofen (Thomas Harold³, Gerhart (Jerry)², Nicholas¹) was born in Cornelia, Grant Cty, WI December 30, 1924. Raymond died May 11, 1989 in Dubuque, Dubuque Cty, IA, at 64 years of age.

Telegraph Herald May 12, 1989 Raymond J. Udelhofen, 64, Platteville, died Thursday at Mercy Health Center, Dubuque, after a brief illness. Mr. Udelhofen was born Dec. 30, 1924, son of Thomas and Gertrude Langkamp Udelhofen. He attended the Cornelia School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Europe in World War II. He was a farmer in Cornelia and a mail carrier in Potosi. He retired from farming in 1982. He married Marcella Flesch Nov. 12, 1946. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Platteville; Leo M. Kane American Legion Post 42, Platteville; and the Rural Mail Carriers Association. He is survived by his wife, Marcella; his stepmother, Mrs. Magdalen Udelhofen, Platteville; one son, Dennis, Platteville; two daughters, Connie (Mrs. Michael) Gehrke, Stoughton and Margaret (Mrs. Gary) Klar, Marquette, Mich.; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas; and one son, Thomas, in 1952. Services were held Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Platteville. The Rev. Steve Zwettler presided. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery. Mergen Funeral Home, Platteville, was in charge of arrangements.

Raymond Jerry Udelhofen and Marcella Marie Flesch had the following children:

135 ii. Margaret Mary Udelhofen (still alive).

136 iii. Thomas E. Udelhofen was born in Grant Cty, WI October 2, 1952. Thomas died October 18, 1982 at 30 years of age.
