84. Samuel Oliver⁴ Bierman (Ruth Bernadine³ Udelhofen, Gerhart (Jerry)², Nicholas¹) was born in Elizabeth, IL May 14, 1942. Samuel died June 14, 2003 in Iowa City, Jackson Cty, IA, at 61 years of age.

He married Janice Scott in Lancaster, Grant Cty, WI, November 26, 1966. Janice was born December 21, 1946. Janice died August 30, 2002 at 55 years of age. Telegraph Herald June 15, 2003 POTOSI, Wis. - Samuel Oliver Bierman, of 1428 Red Star Road, Tipton, Iowa, formerly of Potosi, died of an apparent heart attack Saturday, June 14, 2003, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tipton, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton, where there will be a rosary at 7 p.m. Mr. Bierman owned and operated CarQuest Auto Parts. He was born on May 14, 1942, in Elizabeth, Ill., son of Oliver John and Ruth B. (Udelhofen) Bierman. He married Janice Mae Scott on Nov. 26, 1966, in Lancaster. He graduated from Potosi (Wis.) High School in 1961 and served in the Army. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Tipton Moose. Surviving are three sons, Kirby (Greta) Bierman, of Tipton, Scott Bierman (special friend, Shelly), of Ankeny, Iowa, and Cory Bierman (special friend, Francesca), of Tipton; two grandchildren, Sam and Frank; his mother, Ruth Bierman, of Potosi; three sisters, Doris (Bob) Doerring, of Lancaster, MaryJayne (Frank) Menne, of Platteville, and MaDonna Ashbrook, of Schaumburg, Ill.; two brothers, Nick (Marlene) Bierman, of Stoughton, and DeWayne Bierman, of Galesville; and a special friend, Lois Gardner, of Tipton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Bierman; and his father, Oliver Bierman. In lieu of flowers, a Samuel O. Bierman Memorial Fund has been established.
