Tuesday night we stayed at a hotel near the Seattle airport, and Wednesday caught a charter bus from Seattle to Vancouver, where we boarded our ship. That's when we got our biggest surprise: they had upgraded us from an ordinary veranda stateroom (292 sq ft) to a deluxe veranda suite (over 550 sq ft, not including the larger veranda.) The only stateroom on the entire ship larger than ours (and the 27 other deluxe veranda suites) was the penthouse suite. There are a couple of shots of our suite in the Tuesday pictures. Anyway, I took a lot of photos as we left Vancouver, but ended up dumping a bunch of them when we got to Alaska -- for reasons that will become apparent.
