Green Lantern Corps, issues 201-224: With the departure of the Guardians and the breaking of the "one GL, one sector" rule, Hal Jordan returns to Earth with several of his colleagues, including Katma Tui, Salaak, Ch'p, and new friend Kilowog, to form the Green Lantern Corps on Earth. During this time they establish a Green Lantern Citadel on Earth. It is also during this time that the events in DC's Millenium Crossover event take place, which leads to the formation of the New Guardians (and a short-lived comic book by the same name.) The series ends with the death of Sinestro at the hands of the Corps, resulting in the destruction of the great Battery, due to an oath the Guardians had sworn against the deliberate murder of any male Korugarian. Only a handful of Green Lanterns manage to retain their rings, among them Hal Jordan, who returns to Earth with John Stewart, Katma Tui and Arisia in tow. Hal's adventures continue in Action Comics Weekly.
