The Tidewater Daylily Society - Promoting the Perfect Perennial

Welcome to the Tidewater Daylily Society Website

 SOCIETY NEWS BRIEFS
  • The summer picnic is approaching fast. It is scheduled for June 8th in the garden of Brigitta McConnon. Directions to her house will be posted in the newsletter. Bring a dish to share with everyone. Remember that we will be distributing our PFM plants to all who have qualified this year. You must attend the picnic to receive your plant!

  • The Powerpoint presentation for the 2008 distribution is posted on the PFM page

  • Keep checking your gardens for plants to donate to the club plant sale during the flower show. Ann Weber and Angelo Franceschi are already compiling a list of the plants that will be for sale. Their hope is to put together a spreadsheet of all the plants that will be available that day. Members are asked to donate at least five fans of a single cultivar, but feel free to donate as many plants as you want. Ann and Angelo are hoping to hear from most members at the March meeting.

  • TDS member Cory Christman is reenlisting in the US Navy soon and wants to invite you to come to her ceremony on April 30, 2008. She will have to work out the details to get you onto base for the event. She is wondering if any of our members who hybridize might want to name a seedling ‘Unsung Heroes’ for our fallen soldiers and sailors. Contact Cory if you are interested in either of these things (cw11ms@aol.com ).
