TecGeo is pleased to announce the four new add-ons, plus a bug fix to the AZD add-on. The new add-ons are all free and available for immediate download. Furthermore, since these add-ons are free, I have not developed help files for them. However, since I am charging for the AZD add-on help files are included with the AZD add-on. The new add-ons are described below:
| GeomToZone | This add-on converts all single polyline geometries into a single tecplot zone. It disconnects geometries through value blanking. You will find this add-on very useful if you import dxf files into tecplot. Usually dxf files are very dirty with thousands of individual lines used to represent features like road, fencelines, as well as other additional features. By turning these thousands of lines into a single zone, it makes it very easy to change the color or line thickness. If you have a 3-D surface, you can then interpolate the elevation to the new zone to drape the zone over the surface. Additionally, you can select geometries to convert by the geometries color. I have also programmed it to work with macros. This is written in C. If you need a version for Linux 24 glibc 2.3 please let me know and I can supply it to you. |
| ImageLoader | This add-on is a data loader. It converts portable bitmap, portable graymap, portable pixelmaps and Microsofts bit-map images (.bmp) to a tecplot zone. A portable bit map is an ascii file consisting of one of two values (black or white)for each pixel. In a portable graymap each pixel is defined by a value of 0 (black) to 255 (white). For a portable pixel map, each pixel is defined by a triplet of values, which define how much red (0-255), green (0-255), or blue (0-255). By converting the pixel map to a zone, you can then use it to interpolate material properties for models or drap an image onto a 3-D Surface. This zip file contains only the loadimage.dll, a readme file, and the tecplot.add file. For a more complete discussion and download retrieve the add-on from http://www.tecplottalk.com/addons/ImageLoader. This add-on is also available for a Linux 2.4 glibc system. E-mail me at tecgeo@charter.net for the linux version |
| stmflx | Add-on is undergoing modifications, it is no longer posted. If you are interested in the STOMP code please see the following web page http://stomp.pnl.gov |
| Stomp2Plt | This add-on is a plot file data loader for the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory's STOMP code Subsurface Transport Over Multiple Phases. Users of this code should know what a plot file is. This program is written in FORTRAN and requires the FORTRAN libraries, please place the libraries in your TECHOME/bin directory. If you are interested in the STOMP code please see the following web page http://stomp.pnl.gov |
| Read Labels | This add-on allows you to read in a text file that contains labels. For normal text, you only need three columns in the file, columns for X- and Y-Coordinates, and a column for the label. Three-D text requires a column for the Z-Coordinate before the label. Use the add-on to set all other attribrutes of text. Additionally, you may have the location of a monitoring station displayed as tecplot zone using a scatter symbol, and you don't want the label to appear on top of the scatter symbol. In this case, you can use the offset toggle on the add-on to offset the label from the symbol. It is also available in Linux, contact me for the Linux version |
| Advanced Zone Display | The AZD add-on allows you to quickly and easily animate zones with the animation synchronized across multiple frames. Thereby allowing an animation with different views of the model. For an overview, please see the February 2005 article in Tecplot's on-line magazine Contours.
