Vitamin
E, Vita E
, $20

Vita E 200 is 200 IU's of
Vitamin E per soft gel. It is a vital antioxidant and tissue
healer. Also aids in cellular respiration, detoxification
and repair. Bottle contains 100 soft gels.
Vitamin E is an antioxidant and
anticarcinogen. It helps to protect vitamin C and vitamin A
from oxidation. It promotes circulation, healing of wounds,
aids in arthritis, helps with normal functioning of the
nervous system, improves athletic performance and prevents
cell damage and may prevent aging. Give daily in these
amounts:
• 0 to 25
pounds - 100 IU
• 25 to 50 pounds - 200 IU
• 50 to 75 pounds - 400 IU
• 75 to 100 pounds - 600 IU

Vitamin C, Super C 2000,
$37.00
I use this product daily in my kennel.
The body requires Vitamin C to form and maintain bones, blood
vessels and skin. Vitamin C is responsible for
helping to build and
maintain tissue and strengthen the immune system. It acidifies urine and
may build resistance to allergies. Higher,
tasty concentration is easier to feed! Just half a teaspoon equals 2000
ml of vitamin C. Less powder to mix into food
to turn off those finicky eaters! Buffered with calcium bicarbonate for
superior, yet cost-effective, assimilation.
Dosage:
Cat & Small Animals
1/8 teaspoon to 1/2 teaspoon per day
Medium to Large Dog
1/4 teaspoon to 1 teaspoon per day

Probiotic supplement, probios, $11.00 (240
grams Powder)
I use this product daily in my kennel, 1/4-1 tsp.
-
To provide a source of live, naturally occurring microorganisms
-
To maintain a healthy microbial balance in dogs
-
To supplement desirable organisms to newborn puppies
-
During incidences of diarrhea
-
To help maintain appetite
-
As part of a health maintenance program
When to use Probiotics
Dogs are exposed to many stresses
that can result in lack of appetite, diarrhea and other intestinal
upsets. These stresses may include:
-
Transportation ~ Some dogs can become
extremely agitated when traveling by car or plane which can
cause loss of appetite or diarrhea.
-
Competition Dogs ~ The excitement of the
competition, along with traveling, and exposure to strange dogs
and people, can create a nervous stress in dogs, frequently
manifested by reduced appetite, vomiting and diarrhea.
-
Boarding ~ Lack of appetite or nervous
diarrhea are common in some dogs when boarded in a strange
kennel.
-
Antibiotic Therapy ~ Antibiotics can
destroy pathogenic microorganisms as well as the beneficial
bacteria that are normally found in an animal's digestive
tract.
-
Post-Surgery ~ High doses of antibiotics are
often used to reduce the possibility of heavy contamination
during surgery. This frequently lowers populations of beneficial
bacteria as well. In addition, antibiotics are used after
surgery, which can alter the physiological activity of the gut
and allow the intestinal microbial population to become
unbalanced.
-
Chronic Diarrhea ~ Many times, the etiology
of chronic diarrhea is unknown, and the animal won't respond to
usual therapy.
-
Post-Whelping ~ To maintain appetite and good
milk flow, give Probiotic to bitches, especially "nervous
mommas" and first time whelpers.
-
Newborn Pups ~ The neonatal period for the
newborn pup is a critical time for survival. Normally, newborns
quickly acquire bacteria from their mother and surrounding
environment, many of which are potential pathogens such as
E. coli. Therefore, it is desirable to establish early
colonization of the intestinal tract with beneficial bacteria,
especially if the pups become orphaned.
-
Geriatric Dogs ~ Digestive problems are
fairly common in older pets, including reduced appetite,
diarrhea and constipation. Probiotics helps reduce the
occurrence of digestive problems due to old age.

Fading Puppy Remedy In order to maintain freshness, I
order on an
"as need" basis:

|
Fading
Puppy Remedy, Homeopathic preparation, $30 (To order this
item email
tennesse@charter.net )
Richard Croft, the
originator of the Fading Puppy Remedy, developed the product over many
years, based on observation and trying over 800 combinations. It has
been used for over 30 years in Europe and has treated tens of thousands
of puppies and kittens.
To ensure freshness of product, I do not
store a lot of this. Shelf life is 18 months.
Ingredients: Cal-Carb, Acid-Acetic,
Hepar-Sulph, Kali-Mur, 2 ounces.
If you have a group of breeders who would like to order multiples, I can
work out a discount.
I would not have a litter without this product.
Dosage to the puppies from birth: As a
preventative give 2 drops twice daily if they look normal, for two to
three weeks. If there is any deterioration in the puppies increase
dosage to 4 drops half hourly or hourly for about eight to twelve hours
in every 24 hours. The dosage relies very much on how the puppies are
responding, so give more or less as you think best. All litters of
puppies are different so you may see variations in the response to the
remedy.
One sign is a tendency to "puff and blow" a
little. In this case cut the dosage in half.
NOTE: For premature toy
puppies that weigh under 3 ounces, dilute the remedy one drop to three
drops of pure water.
Then give a single drop per dose.
Puppies that are being bottle fed or supplemented
can be given the Remedy as it will also help the digestive system. Give
it after dewclaw removal and tail docking to allay trauma.
The Fading Puppy Remedy will improve the milk of
the bitch and the dosage of half a teaspoon can be given once or twice a
day, regardless of the size of the bitch. Homeopathy is not dosed by
weight.
I have seen incredible results when giving the dam
Fading Puppy Remedy during whelping for exhaustion. To help prevent
Fading Puppy Syndrome it is recommended to give the remedy from the time
of mating at half a teaspoon daily. This is particularly good for
bitches with a history of loss. It has increased the overall health of
our litters and gives us uniform in size and robust litters.

Your
Puppy 8 weeks to 8 months, DVD,
Leerburg Kennel , $40
This training video answers all the questions new
puppy owners have concerning the care of their new puppy. Ed Frawley
has been breeding dogs since 1978 and has produced over 350 litters
of working bloodline German Shepherd puppies, although the methods
demonstrated work for all breeds of dogs.
This is the DVD that all of my puppy families receive
from me as a gift prior to their pups
coming home, whether they have had pups in the past or are first time dog
owners. I will not let a pup go until the family has viewed
this.

Establishing Pack Structure with The Family Pet, DVD,
Leerburg Kennel, $40
The vast majority of dogs do not want to be pack
leaders. They are much more comfortable when someone else becomes a pack
leader and they are happiest when this job is taken by their owner.
Once a dog accepts a pack leader, that dog becomes calm
and submissive. The dog knows his new pack leader will take care of all
of life's needs. He understands his leader feeds him, waters him,
exercises him, and protects him from stray dogs and bad people. The dog
learns that guests to the home are the pack leader's guests and not
intruders or people for the dog to either play with or become aggressive
towards.
With this said, the road to a calm, submissive dog is to
first establish leadership. This 4 hour DVD explains the foundation on
how to get your dog ready for obedience training. Once that's done, the
pack leader can introduce his rules and begin to obedience train his or
her dog.

Basic
Dog Obedience, DVD, Leerburg
Kennel , $40,
The best dog trainers know how to
build a bond based on two way respect between the dog and the
handler. These trainers know how to motivate a dog to want to
learn. They understand how and when to apply distractions during
training so they can show the dog that it must mind under all
circumstances.
This DVD is organized into chapters, just like a book. The menu for
our DVD allows you to watch the chapter you want when you want. This
makes for a very simple review.

Housetraining
eBook,
Leerburg Kennel, $12
There are a million "old wives tales" out there that are
nothing more than misinformation on house train dogs. Everyone has an
opinion on how this should be done and what to do when a problem arises.
The problem is most of these people do not have the experience to offer
good sound advice. This eBook offers years of experience, using
common sense solutions, to get you through this critical training period
so that you can get on with enjoying your pety.
What are eBooks?
eBooks are simply electronic versions of
printed books, they are not a printed book. eBooks are downloaded and
read on your computer. They are produced in a format that is much easier
to read than a normal web page. eBooks can be stored on your own PC,
Laptop or hand held device.

20 ft. Cotton Training Leash, $16
This 20 foot light weight training line is light enough that it can be
used on young puppies and strong enough for use with adult dogs. I have
found that a cotton line, like the one we sell, is better than a nylon
line because it does not get slippery when wet like a nylon line. It is
also lighter in weight than a leather line.
This leash has a comfortable hand loop and
is made out of the finest quality cotton. It has solid cast hardware
which is corrosion resistant.
This leash is 1/2 inch wide.

highest quality Italian bronze. These snaps are generally sewn and then
pop riveted to insure the highest security available.
You can buy a cheaper leash at any store in
your town, but you will NEVER buy a better quality leash anywhere.
