Berth Marks Tent
Oasis #238

The Berth Marks Tent was formed here in Harlem in 1988. Over time, for one reason or another, membership began to wane and the 'oasis' disappeared. In early 2002, however, a committee of devotees worked to breathe life back into the Sons of the Desert's Harlem chapter, and the group is beginning to grow once again.
The Tent meets on the third Tuesday of every month, 6:30 p.m., in The Laurel and Hardy Museum located at 250 N. Louisville Street in Harlem, Georgia (unless otherwise notified). Yearly dues are a mere $15 per person or $25 per family. There are always refreshments served, and each meeting is cheerfully followed by at least one Laurel and Hardy two-reeler in Babe's Bijou.
The current officers of the Berth Marks Tent are:
Grand Sheik - David Bartlett
Vice Sheik - Elizabeth Couture
Sub-Vice Vizier - Jean Dove/Robin Root
Grand Vizier - Kathy Sparks
Sub-Grand Vizier - Linda Caldwell
