Constellation Analysis of Ancient Sites

The Demo version differs from the full version in that the demo only looks at our
terrestrial sky to analyse the image entered.
This version of the program was completed at the beginning
of 2003, so it is onlyan early beta version. On the face of things it has
the full functionality of the current full version
of CAAS, however, the internals are old and inaccurate. I'll put up a correct version asap,
but this demo will give you a good idea of the workings of the program. Note that its not as
polished as the current full version, but give it a test drive.

The demo suffers from several issues of being an early version.
- Sky generation is not via pointing vector, but using trig functions, so there is rather
severe distortion near the poles
- The database used has innaccuracies
- The user interface isn't what I like
- YABasic is currently adding stand alone functionality. Until then, YABasic has to be
installed on any computer wanting to run this. Its included with the demo, and is pretty small,
but is something that some people might not want. ALthough having a free programming language
shouldn't ever be a bad thing.
