A puzzle;
Gestalt psychology is like a puzzle. People make sense of things as a whole, not as the individual pieces.

Gestalt Psychology Summary

Gestalt psychology proposes that people more easily perceive patterns than distinct things. For example, a person might see two alternately flashing lights as a single light moving back and forth between two locations.

Important People in Gestalt Psychology

Max Wertheimer (AD 1912):
Started the Gestalt Psychology movement with his experiment where subjects saw two alternately flashing lights as one moving light.
