An Outdoor Kitchen Project Fund was initially started by generous members. The excitement and interest grew. Many member comments recognized the need for a REAL kitchen at the Club (the current one is only a warming kitchen). More members generously offered to foot the initial investigation to find what it would take for this leap.

Rally 'round the Galley

A meeting was arranged with Jim from JRA Foodservice Design & Engineering. He listend to our ideas about the Club's immediate needs to be able to continue having food service avaialbe to the members. Also discussed the possibility of expanding the plan to include a remodel of the upstairs to be able to cater the meals to clients who lease the Harbour View Room.
The initial consideration of which direction to pursue was, of course, driven by financial concerns. After taking previous and current statistics into consideration along with present and potential income upstairs and downstairs, it was decided that you, the members, should be informed of the situation to see if you are on board with this project as well. A plan was presented to the membership at the General Membership Meeting & Election on October 13. The response was overwhelmingly positive and a new committee was formed.
