You should be hearing the music shown here play on your speakers automagically as you enter this page!... that is, once you wait for the bgsound MIDI file (9kb) to download, etc.

Fare Thee Well, Rev. Dan

Reverend Dan, it's time to go
to a place where "there's no snow."
You made Church fun for every one.
You taught us how to think about God.
We'll miss you, Reverend Dan;
The New Yorker - Ain't that grand? -
- brought God to us in a way we trust.
You always find a way to explain!

Every week you take a theme,
tell us how it all comes clean.
But then sometimes things do not align...
Sometimes you win, and sometimes you don't!
We'll miss you, Reverend Dan;
The New Yorker - Ain't that grand? -
brings God alive... helps us to survive...
You always find a way to explain!

We will miss you Reverernd Dan;
Hope to see you here again,
The ringing bell makes the world seem swell !
We'll always be reminded of you.
We'll miss you, Reverernd Dan;
The New Yorker - Ain't that grand? -
- brought God to us in a way we trust
You always find a way to explain!

When we brought our family...
Little Jake, you blessed with glee.
Behind that smile of a loving child
the love of all our Church family.
We'll miss you, Reverend Dan;
The New Yorker - Ain't that grand? -
brought God to life in the midst of strife.
You always find a way to explain!

Reverend Dan, so now you know
how we're gonna miss you so.
But we know you're gonna miss us too
so you'll have to pass this way again.

You taught us how to say:
"We don't always know the way,"
With God along we just can't go wrong.
Love one another every day.

This page is my "Rev. Dan's music" page. If you are familiar with common contemporary church music, you might recognize the melody, here, as "This Is My Father's World", taken from the Hymnal #485 which describes it as "a traditional English Melody, Maltbie D. Babcock, 1858-1901".

We wrote these Lyrics to sing in the church the last service given by our Pastor, Rev. Dan Martin, West Groton Christian Union Church, November 7, 1999. Lyrics Copyright © 1999 by Jillian, Jeannie, and Kevin "we borrowed the tune" Pammett For more info, see the song's Info Page (graphic). When I get a picture of the church I will place a hot link, here.

Like Heart 'n Soul, the composer was used to create the backgroung midi file which plays on loop="infinite". In that experiment there is a .gif animation that shows you the music as it plays, but I'm not very happy with the results of that so will hold off on that, here, for now. For the same reason, the presentation for Gypsy's Song and Lynnie's 44th Birthday Hallelujah! are (for now) more like this one.

What I hope to eventually have, above, is an ActiveX control where you can literally compose your own music and/or listen to - and watch - the music files play. And as of 24/July/2001 I started working on a “kgp Nwc Songs” translator, and finally came out with a Home Page for my Music as of 4:55 PM 2/9/2002.

You can get a demo version of the music composition software that produced the above by going to the NoteWorthy Composer home page. Even the full-fledged version of this software only costs $39...

Return to Kevin Gene Pammett's résumé, or Groton Home page ...
Staying current... is a constant challenge...

I used to have a counter: "you are visitor number XXX since November 7, 1999, the day I first put together this page to commemorate Dan's retirement" on this page, but since I haven't looked at that since 2:10 PM 11/7/99 I think I'll leave that one behind.
