This page is my first attempt to really show music as it's playing, this one relying an a Gif animation that I made with a combination of Lview, the NoteWorthy composer, and Microsoft's Gif Animator on 7/19/98.

You should be hearing the music shown below play on your speakers automagically as you enter this page!... that is, once you wait for the MIDI file to download, Etc. Sorry, Charlie - no midi Plug-in... If this is not the case, let everything download so it's in your cache, and then press "Reload" on your browser so it'll start out more synchronized.

... We'll always miss J.D. ...

Sample GIF-animation from NoteWorthy Composer

The animation on the left was generated using - among other things - the NoteWorthy Composer, software that lets you create, modify, and play back musical scores - including lyrics - which you can watch scroll by as the music plays. The composer itself isn't functional on the web, but I'm determined to use it as part of my "web offering" in any case. For this example we used an traditional hymn and added our own Lyrics, in honor of our dog - J.D. - who died of old age in June, 1996. In honor of J.D. we planted a tree in our front yard and my kids and I created this musical composition for him.

We did something similar for the middle dog, Gypsy, when she died in October, 1999. In this picture J.D. is the one on the right-hand side.

What I hope to eventually have, above, is an ActiveX control where you can literally compose your own music and/or listen to - and watch - the music files play. And as of 24/July/2001 I started working on a “kgp Nwc Songs” translator, and finally came out with a Home Page for my Music as of 4:55 PM 2/9/2002.

You can get a demo version of the music composition software that produced the above by going to the NoteWorthy Composer home page. Even the full-fledged version of this software only costs $39...

Staying current... is a constant challenge...

I used to have a counter: "you are visitor number XXX since July 19, 1998, the day I first put together my first musical animation" on this page, but since I haven't looked at that since 7:00 AM 10/25/99 I think I'll leave that one behind.
