Welcome to my personal page!

I have thrown this together for my new friends and acquaintances I have met on the net, so to have a little insight into my personality.  If you had very many conversations with me, you will quickly realize that I am NOT your average guy!  I was a nerd in High School, and when graduating, I believed that someday Nerds will rule the universe! <grin>.  Where some people seem to be manic depressants, I sometimes think I am a manic enthusiast!  I do believe sometimes - the older I get, the younger I become!

You can find me often connected to the net...  I am sometimes online connected from my work.  You can try to contact me via Yahoo Messenger if I am online,  I sometimes browse craigslist...   or might find me in a Yahoo Chat Room.  Just look for professor.wizard.  Frequently, I am in the "St. Louis" or the "Missouri" rooms.  If your finding me in the "Nevada" rooms, it is because I travel to Vegas on a regular basis in my consulting career. - I like having friends to do things with when I am there.  

I am NOT a pedophile or a pervert... So, if you're not legal (over at least 23)... go away and don't bother me Please!

Well...  Enough of the photo stuff!

So... You wonder just what it is that I do, or about my handle...

THE "PROFESSOR" PART...

  In addition to the duties of my career as a Vice President of Information Services with a national corporation... I am a member of multiple boards in an effort to promote higher technical training.  I am an appointed member the Administrative Council, the Information Technology Advisory Board and an Adjunct Faculty Instructor for the largest Community College District in Missouri.  I teach and create evening college credit courses in various Computing and Telecommunications Technology disciplines, for the Business, Math and Technology Department.  This is my fifteenth year of participation at the Community College.  I am also the President of a large communication technology support group covering Mid-America.  I have participated on the Advisory Council ("Tech Scan") to the Regional Technical Education Consortium ("RTEC"), a cooperative between the State of Missouri, and the City of St. Louis, for planning the Advanced Technology Institute for the provision of Advanced Technology Training to Missouri residents.  I also participate on the "St. Louis, Schools-To-Careers" Strategic Planning Council to improve options for youth of St. Louis City and surrounding Counties to transition from schools to careers.

THE "WIZARD" PART...
 
I am respected by industry leaders of the St. Louis community, as an expert, facilitator and educator, in the use of Informatics and Telephony Technologies.  I have been a speaker at symposiums for such entities as AT&T; "Business Presence on the Internet," and the Data Processing Managers Association; "Managing Stress On a Network."   In my career, I can bring to the table a global perspective on utilizing new technologies, with a diverse background in the Healthcare, Finance, Business Office, Academics, Sales, Manufacturing, Marketing, Communications, and Distribution environments.  I have an educational equivalence of over 40 hours into a post-graduate degree in Computer Science and Telecommunications Management  (Someday I'll have to change Professor to Doctor!).  I advocate convergence of Telephony and Informatics through strategic shared infrastructures and business processes.

I am presently employed full time since 1994 as the Vice President, Information Services with a mid-sized corporation based out of St. Louis...  Prior - I was the Director of Information Systems for a major St. Louis Metropolitan Health Care Management group.

I also consult with PANICE, in the area of Criminal Breach Forensics. (think catching the Oceans11 guys).

Whew!...  glad I didn't have to say all of that in one breath... 

Now...  About myself on a personal note...

I consider myself to be a bit better-than-average looking man, clean cut and Professional (being an executive I have to play the part).  I am of slim build (Like a runner or gymnast,) and very fit, 5’8”, 155-165 pounds, I wear 30/33 pants and a 36 Jacket - Sandy Blond Hair, Steel Blue Eyes.  I am disease free and very healthy.

I am an Aries (March 27)
 

• Intelligent: IQ of 136 on the Wechsler Scale (WAIS),
• Educated: 48 hours Post Graduate (Doctorate in Communications Technology),
• Professionally Employed: VP of IT.

What am I all about on the inside... Hmmmmmmmm...
 
• I rule with an iron fist in a velvet glove ((Commanding yet forgiving)).
• I wear chain armor ((Protective yet flexible and free to form)).
• I have an extreme amount of patience but very little tolerance.
• I am always assertive but never aggressive.
• I am NOT shy, but often cautious.
• I am reliable yet unpredictable.
• I love a good joke and tend to find humor in everything - being of English heritage, my humor tends to be on the sarcastic and dry side.


I have far too many hobbies and interests for the amount of free time I have.  I love music (I once had aspirations to be a concerto pianist.)  I can play Piano, Organ, Drums, Harmonica, and Guitar -  and use my music to entertain or relax (yes - I can sing a little to!).  I love photography (viewing and taking).  Reading Science Fiction and Fantasy.  I like to attend concerts (Rock & Classical) and go to the movies.  I am not into traditional sports per-say I.E.: Baseball/Football etc., but I love Auto Racing, Gymnastics, Hang-Gliding,Cliff Climbing and Motorcycle Riding.  I like taking drives into the country or the city, to view nature, and the architecture.  I don’t care for Camping or “Roughing-it”.  My current Hobby Love is customizing and showing my 05' Mustang GT Convertible Mustang - it feels good to have a trophy winning car!

When I am not working or doing all that other stuff, I sleep <grin> - Not really, though I do enjoy a good power nap!

I am an accomplished pianist and guitarist, sometimes loosing myself in my 6 foot Kawai Classic Grand for hours.

I am an established graphic artist, designing Logo's for small companies, working on that  floor plan for my dream home or drawing automobiles and airplanes.

I like to go on Photo shoots to capture only what the minds eye can perceive using my Nikon D5000 DSLR, or Nikon S8200 Mini Digital.

I love to drive cars and motorcycles, so I also love drives to the country or any place I have never been.

On a nice day, you might find me riding my motorcycle along the river or my bicycle through the woods.

Although teaching at the College falls under my "Professional Self"  I truly enjoy the sharing with others so much, that it also falls under a "Hobby".

Another hobby, is Chatting.  I find the people online very entertaining, and chatting is a wonderful way to make new friends across the country.  As my career has me traveling sometimes, I actually have the opportunity, on occasion, to actually meet some the people I chat with.  It is a lot of FUN to meet the people I communicate with when I travel.
