I
grew up in the immediate north suburban area of Minneapolis, MN. All
through my childhood years drawing and painting was a big part of my
life. I never took notes in school, but filled my notebooks with drawings
of dinosaurs and other related imagery. After majoring in Studio Arts
at the University of Minnesota for three years, and leaving after deciding
I could hardly make a living as a studio artist (not because I’m not
good, however), I took up the graphic arts, beginning with a part-time
keylining job at a small company called Chapin Publishing, working
with a premium magazine called the Minnesota/Dakota Truck Merchandiser.
A few years down the road, I was shipping and receiving at a color separation
house. When I saw them plug a Macintosh computer into their
Crossfield system, I decided it was time to go back to school for
graphics production, and the rest is history.
Besides art, I like music, singing (never done karaoke) and community
theater. I prefer the original Star Trek crew. I like the Star Wars movies.
I stay involved in my local church. I appreciate great landscapes. My favorite
science is astronomy.
I am married to my lovely wife, Connie, and have three children. |
