Volunteers

Hollis Cal-Ripken can only be successful with the help of the many volunteers who graciously volunteer their time. Youth Baseball can be one of the most memorable experience of your child's life. We're working hard to insure that baseball will be one of those childhood experiences that your son or daughter will want to pass on to their own children. YOU play a very important role in this goal.

PLEASE VOLUNTEER!!!

Our league has opportunities to volunteer in the following areas:

- Concession Stand - The Concession Stand is a large fund raiser for the baseball program. During games, each team is expected to provide parents to work in the concession stand. Volunteers are also needed to help keep the concession stand stocked with food throughout the season.

- Field Maintenance - In order to keep our newly renovated fields in top condition we need parent volunteers. Immediately following every game your child plays in the clay/sand mix between the base paths as well as the pitchers mound need to be raked from the grass and smoothed.
      Field Maintenance help is also required periodically throughout the season for various tasks such as: painting dugouts, installing outfield fences, putting up batting cages, field prep, etc... 

- Fundraising Committee - The fundraising committee is involved with our coordinating our very successful Dinner Dance as well as other opportunities to help defray the league costs.

- Coaching - Coaches and Assistant Coaches

- League Officers - Every year, some league officers move on as their child graduates from the Cal-Ripken program. Currently all 2005 League Officer positions are filled.
