So why did we select a Factory Five Roadster?

Several reasons.

First, I think, is trust.  There are thousands of satisfied builders out there who rave about their cars and the company that makes them.  Factory Five Racing epitomizes what customer focused organizations should be.  They are honest, open, dedicated, and involved with their customer's building and driving experience.  They are focused on continuous improvement and providing value for the customer's hard earned dollars.  Are they perfect?  No.  Do customers sometimes have problems with their orders and parts?  Sure.  All companies have those problems.  But will they do everything possible to fix any issues the customer might have with their service or their product?  Absolutely.  They are, quite simply, trustworthy.  When you go to lay your money down, you simply are not going to find a more trustworthy company to do business with.

Second is the product.  Factory Five Racing provides the best performing kit car frame available anywhere, including those costing thousands of dollars more.  How do they do it?  When you combine Mark and Dave Smith's ("a couple of car guys") knowledge with their engineering background and their desire to use the latest technology to make the best kit car available, that's what you get.  Combine that with the team they have assembled at Factory Five Racing and you have an unbeatable combination in the kit car industry.

Next, I think the product is at the sweet spot on the cost/performance chart.  If someone told you they could spend $20,000 or less and create a performance machine that would compete with anything available on the dealer's lot costing three or four times as much, you might not believe them.  Not unless you already knew about the Factory Five roadster.

Finally, the support that is available from existing builders is outstanding.  Just check out the forums at www.ffrog.com, and you can see how easy it is to get an answer from the hundreds of builders who visit there everyday.  Not just builders either, but a bunch of great guys too.

Overall, these are the things that combined to help us finalize our decision to go with the Factory Five Racing 65 Roadster.
