Our Keilberg history starts in the small city of Burgstadt, Germany. It is here that the Keilberg family owned a bakery.
Early church records found on the family include: Marriage record - 1 July 1832 . Groom - Johann Samuel Benjamin Keilberg, in Hohenstein, son of Joh Samuel Keilberg, citizen and baker of Burgstadt Bride - Christiane Friedericke, eldest daughter of Johann Friedrich Korbs, citizen and baker of Hohenstein. Marriage record - 15 July 1837.
Groom - Gottlob Friedrich Keilberg, youngest son of Samuel Benjamin Keilberg of Burgstadt, baker Bride - Johanna Eleonore, daughter of Johann Gottlieb Thiele, weaver and merchant.
Baptismal records for children of this couple were also found. They include: Child 1 - Gottlob Friedrich Keilberg. born 2 July 1838; died 14 Dec 1899. Child 2 - Friedrich August Keilberg, born 12 Aug 1840; died 5 Oct 1894. Child 3 - Wilhelm Herrmann Keilberg, born 25 Feb 1846; died 9 July 1853. Child 4 - Emma Ida Keilberg, born 26 Nov 1851; died 11 May 1857.
