Blandina Ostrom was born Feb. 11, 1775, the daughter of Deny Ostrom and Greetje/Geertyuyd Charity Barentsche/Barends. The name Blandina is also shown as Blondean, Dinah, and Dianty, among other Dutch spellings. Blandina married John Marcus Conklin, and they were the parents of 13 children. At some point, early in their marriage, they moved to Owasco, Cayuga Co. NY along with many other Conklin relatives. The records of the Reformed Dutch Church of Owasco show that on 29 Feb 1816 Blandina Conklin was admitted as a member of the church. Blandina died 17 Feb 1849, and is buried in the Concklin Farm Cemetery, township of Niles, Cayuga Co. NY.

Greetje Barentsche was born 19 May 1936 (cemetery) she married Denys Ostrom on July 20, 1754 at Nine Partners, Dutchess Co. NY and they were the parents of Henry Ostrom, born Jan. 18, 1760 Blandina, born Feb 11, 1775.

Deny Ostrom was born 14 Aug, 1730, the son of Jan Ostrom Jr. and his wife Claudina (Claudijne) Relje. He died 22 July 1812, and is buried in Presbyterian Cemetery, Pleasant Valley, Dutchess Co. NY. (http://www.rootsweb.com/~nydutche/cems/prespv.htm)

Jan Ostrom Jr. was born ca. 1705, the son of Jan Hendricks(en) Oosterom and Macheltje Roelofs (de Duyster). He died ca. 1765.

Jan Hendricks(en) Oosterom, was born 24 June 1657, the son of Hendrik Jans(zen) Oosterom and Tryntje Lubbertse Van Blaricum. He died ca. 1717.

Hendrik Jans(zen) Oosterom was born ca 1625, the son of Jan (Wees) Van Oosterum.
