Description
The first ships humans sent into space were extremely fragile. The only engineering concern was making sure they could re-enter orbit. We now live in a reality in which intelligent beings may intentionally try to destroy our ships with weapons. This body of work will establish a base in which we can explore materials that can be used to make our ships more durable.
