Certain theories of Quantum Mechanics predict that space-time consists of more than 4 dimensions. Two alternate theories of the structure have been debated for centuries. The first, the Klein-Kalusa Theory, consists of the extra dimensions 'looping back' on themselves so that the effective size is not noticed in our space-time. The second, the Visser Theory, views the extra dimensions as an energy well with our space-time at the bottom of well. To use the extra dimensions would require adding huge amounts of energy to a system. It has now been shown experimentally, that the latter is true. The energy developed from a Casmir Effect Bubble is required to enter this space dimension.
