The truck cab you see on the left, had not been watching to see a car approach and enter his blind spot off the right of the cab. I modeled the view from inside a scale modeled cab, to show that the car was not visible. The cab changed lanes from left lane to right, striking a right lane car in the left rear tire. That put the car into a counter clockwise spin. The car traveled in front of the flat nosed truck cab, and across the median. By the time it arrived at the position shown in the picture, it was sideways, in the path of three oncoming cars, and the driver was killed by a T-bone impact. At trial the defense had two PHD defense experts, with two theories of how the accident occurred in their favor. At trial I explained to my attorney why our animation showed agreement with four items of physical evidence, and the opposition's had none. My attorney explained to opposition, that my testimony and animation would show that their theories were not based on evidence, and the case settled minutes before my testimony and showing of the animations. The case settled at that time for 12 million dollars, the largest settlement in South Carolina's 11 preceding years for Lexington County. Expert Woodrow Poplin provided the accident reconstruction, and said "the timings would have been almost impossible to evaluate without the ability to try different animation timings" If you are an attorney, and if you would like to receive: my CV, animations examples, references, etc., please call 864-288-1961 or email me with "PLEASE SEND TRUCK ACCIDENT ANIMATIONS".
