tamara scronce attended graduate school at the university of illinois, chicago and the university of nevada, las vegas. she completed her master of fine arts degree at unlv in 1997 and moved to reno to join the faculty at the university of nevada as an assistant professor in the department of art. scronce's major areas of interest are contemporary sculpture, installation art, and video. she has exhibited her work in solo, group, and juried exhibitions throughout the united states. she is also a founding member of d3ms, a five-person collaborative that has presented work throughout the western united states and israel. tamara scronce has received several artists' grants in support of her work and has been honored with awards in numerous juried exhibitions. most recently she was awarded a substantial university of nevada, reno junior faculty research grant in support of her work in video and sculpture installation, and she was awarded the distinguished nevada arts council 2006 artist fellowship.
