The majority of the Turner Farms acreage is devoted to pine tree production. However, substantial hardwood acreage is maintained on sites which are ideally suited to hardwoods. The pastures combine warm and cool season forages including various clovers and other legumes. This diversity, along with numerous water sources provide excellent habitat for deer, turkey, geese and ducks. Hunting leases are an important income source and several hunting clubs enjoy long term leases. Hunting leases are not available at this time but we are always happy to talk about our forestry and wildlife improvement efforts. | |
