Catherine's notes include a description (facing) page, lined script page and daily editor's log. The description page gives the camera and sound roll, slate information, timecode/clip (if applicable), date, shot name, shot description and each take with the time and any notes (e.g. ng/snd, best/dir). The script page is lined to show each shot and what is seen on camera and what is not. Dialogue changes are also noted on the script page. The editor's log lists the day's shots in shooting order with any notes for the assistant editor and preferred or circle prints, if provided by the director.
Catherine also does numerous pre-production breakdowns, including scene and page counts, Day/Night breakdowns and Continuity One-Liners, as well as the Daily Progress Report for production.
