2. To be eligible to serve on the selection committee, an individual must demonstrate an interest in Uxbridge High Athletics and be willing to attend meetings on a regular basis.
The selection committee will consist of a committee chairman, secretary and treasurer and will be limited to 17 members.
Members maintain their eligibility and voting privileges by attending a minimum of 50 percent of the scheduled committee meetings from the final selection vote one year to the first selection vote the following year.
Members may resign from the committee anytime they choose to do so, verbally or in writing, by contacting the committee chairman.
The current selection committee may solicit new members in any manner they deem appropriate. Qualified individuals seeking membership on the selection committee should contact any current committee member. Upon receiving notice of such a request, the committee chairman will inform the membership of the request at the next scheduled meeting, and contingent upon meeting the eligibility requirements the applicant must receive 2/3 votes from the quorum present.
Selection Process
============
Each year nominations will be accepted by the Hall of Fame Selection Committee. The timetable for these nominations will be posted in local newspapers with a deadline for acceptance of nominations. The Committee Chairman will convene a meeting once nominations are finalized. This meeting will occur approximately 3 months prior to the induction ceremony. All Selection Committee members will receive a list of names eligible for Hall of Fame induction at this meeting. The list of eligible nominees will then be considered for induction through the election process.
