Friends of the Upton LibraryNew Friends OrganizationSeveral years ago when the Library Trustees in Upton and Mendon began working together toward a common goal of building a regional library, the Friends in both towns also reorganized as one group. Now, with each town exploring options to build separate town libraries, it makes sense for the Friends to work separately again. To that end, at our January meeting, the Friends of the Upton Library and the Friends of the Mendon Library were reestablished. Both groups will continue to function under the auspices of MULTI, the umbrella non-profit agency that allow the Friends to operate as charitable 501(c)3 organizations. The Friends of the Upton Library is a non-profit organization established to encourage, promote and enrich the use of the resources of the Upton Library. Specifically, the Friends:
The Upton Town Library enriches the lives or thousands of residents through literature, information, and the arts. The Library depends on the support of the community to enhance its range of programming; from adding more curriculum-based books for our student population to museum passes for families and individuals.
