The Olmecs are considered by many to be the forerunners of all the ancient mesoamerican cultures. They were known as the rubber people. They are best known for their sculptures of huge heads. Because these massive heads have asian looking features, the Chinese claim that Chinese sailors must have come to the new world two millennia ago. Personally, I don't buy it. You may decide for yourself.
