Price's Company, of Iowa Mounted Volunteers under command of Colonel H.
Dodge called into service of the United States on the requisition of
General Henry Atkinson by the governor's proclamation dated the 20th
May 1832. The entire company served from
from Iowa County. In remarks on Pay Roll, "This Company was stationed by order of General Dodge at Fort Cass at the town of Cassville on the Mississippi 30 miles from Prairie du Chien in Michigan Territory." and "This company furnished its own forage." |

I CERTIFY, on honor, that this muster roll exhibits the true state of Capt. G. M. Price's Company of Iowa Mounted Volunteers in the service of the United States, for the period herein mentioned; that the "Remarks" set opposite the names of each officer and soldier, are accurate and just; and that the Recapitulation exhibits, in every particular, the true state of the Company. Glendower M. Price, Captain (later Major), Commanding the Company I CERTIFY, on honor, that I have carefully examined this muster roll, and that I have this 20th day of August 1832, mustered out of the service of the United States, the above mentioned Company of Iowa Militia.
