Just a few quick updates. First of all as Valor and Honor continues to grow we encounter new situations. One pressing issue is time. With over 90 characters in the guild, and certainly at least 50 people playing those characters Cait only has so much time. When she logs on she is inundated by ICQs from not only VaH members, but also everyone she knows on her ICQ list.

Please, I implore you to use your best judgment when you decide to ICQ her. This game is enjoyable, but when it becomes more like work people then begin to stop playing. To help with this Cait is currently looking for a vice Guild leader. Someone to put out the brush fires that she didn't need to deal with in the first place and help her lead a more enjoyable gaming life instead of being at everyone's beck and call. If you are a long-standing member with plenty of time and willingness to partake then this could be you.

Another point; if you see Cait in game and she appears to be talking to someone please don't try to butt in. Let her finish and move on to you in a timely fashion. Just last night I was witness to three people all trying to talk at her first, and one of them was using all caps. I won't tell you how to act, but one of these days I suspect she will snap and begin PKing the rude and impatient people. Don't risk your title, be a good chap and wait your turn.

Other issues are Purple items generated by the factions bug. Do not buy or sell these items. They are generated by bugs, fueling the demand for these items would be contributing to the exploit. Bugs are bad.... Baby Jesus cries when you use bugs. That is all for now. Pardon my lack of updates, the new job and apartment keep me busy.

Guild Meeting Saturday at 6pm CST/EST, be there!

A few things of note, first of all thanks to Cerle for his graphic donations to the site, as seen on the top left. I'll be working things in as we go to try and spruce the site up a bit. Secondly and no less important Mr. X and Perin have taken leave of UO for some time. Its not clear how long but if you see them on ICQ be sure to give them stern words to return ASAP, they are sorely missed.

Rick won the supply night contest recently with enough cloth to garb all of Europe in layered clothing. If you plan on competing with him then your work has been cut out for you. If you don't know what supply night is contact a Council Member or a fellow Guild Member for more information, shortly I will have an events page up detailing it and its rules.

On a side note, do not go defending the honor of your friends or guild by accepting challenges for duels from strange people. Chances are they have dueled before and will kill you, you don't have to believe me but unless you lived in Fellucia when there wasn't stat loss or you have been active in the PvP community you run a good chance of losing. You don't have to believe me, ask SaGe and our now found (and honorable) friend UnderTaker.

And for gods sake if you go to Fellucia don't go in Valorite armor saying you can afford the loss. Even if you can it doesn't paint a great picture of the guild attitude.

Updates have been made. Look into the survival essay and the new title section for further info there. On the message board please note A^M extending us a warm welcome. Be sure to check out their site and congratulations to everyone on being the 7th largest guild on Napa according to the UO web site as seen here.

The Christmas party went off with few glitches. If all went well you all at least got the link to this site, if not you got it from Cait. Apparently the forum wont be passworded, it will only be moderated. Anyway please do use it for questions and comments. Also I gave a speech which only about half the house heard, so here it is for those who want to have a look:

Valor and Honor

It's not the title I'll speak on now. It's not the Glory of battle I'll conjure words for. It's not heroism and it's certainly not fame.

When someone tried to explain why KoC was such a great guild, they attempted to make KoC sound like it was better than VaH. I took exception to this. In my years in UO I have found a few things to hold true always. One of the foremost is that it's not the largest guild that matters. Its not the richest guild. Its not the guild that is the most influential. The greatest guild in my mind isn't a guild at all.

It's a family, a group of friends. And while we are nearly one of the largest ten guilds on Napa we have held bonds between members. We are not a collection of individuals but a group of friends. Mark my words; that is a rare commodity. So it is with great sincerity that I offer up my thanks to the people involved in this creation. I thank all of you.

Also due to power outages and mass connection troubles the gift exchange has been placed on hold for a while. No date set as yet to determine when this will happen, but mother nature was completely unfair to some this time around. Cait should be mass ICQing everyone with info on that in the coming week, and Ill post it here as well.

Welcome.

As you might be able to tell we have a new web page. I hope all of you enjoy it and I hope to get some feedback from all of you as to what to add to this place. I cant do anything heavy as far as additions every day since my time is divided across two shards, but I hope to keep up and keep this thing lively. If you see Enyao of 2st anywhere on Napa please give him a big thank you for the hosting and the help on this. He is my guildmate on Atlantic, and real life friend whose guidance has helped a lot over the time I have known him.

We have a lot to be thankful for, Merry Christmas to all of you and I hope to see you in game.
