Body Work Begins...

These photos show where the car is now, with all the body work from the body line and up done.  Custom body work done was the gas door was shaved, the drip rails were shaved, the antenna hole was shaved, and all emblems were shaved.

Here you can see how I welded the gas door shut.  The new fuel cell is located in the back of the car, so the original filler door is obsolete.

The car is then prepped from body line up.  I chose to do all the body work in 2 sections, body line up, and then from the body line down.  Then I will go back and rework all the repair areas to make sure everything is perfect.

Note the shaved driprails are now complete.  They turned out awesome.

3 coats of etching primer is applied, which will give me a great base to build the final body work off of.

No driprails makes for a very clean, sleek, and modern look.

Shaved rear antenna hole.   This car will either have satellite radio or an antenna that goes in the rear window.

I also prepped and primered the rear cove area at this time, basically just because I didn't have to do any real work to this area, just removed the paint and primered it.
