We have been breeding quality Soft-Coated Wheaten Terriers at VanBeard Kennels for 30 years. We have second generations of families buying puppies from us and friends buying their second wheaten from us.
We advise you to look closely at the temperment of the parents and make sure all medical tests and certifications have been done when you buy a puppy.

Our breeding stock is all OFA, CERF and blood-tested before they produce puppies. Our puppies are raised in the home - not a kennel, garage or the basement. They are kid-tested, people-tested, cat-tested and kiss-tested before they leave. Wheatens are social, hardy and affectionate terriers. Do not consider getting a wheaten if you plan on keeping it outside. They must be in your home with your family. Although they are non-shedding and non-allergenic because they have a single coat, they still must be regularly groomed and brushed.
