Duel booting with Windows Vista

Windows Vista is a nightmare when it comes to duel booting with vista do to the NTFS-FS file format it has, but luckally for us there is a way around it. What you need to do is shrink the NTFS-FS file format by hand, for this you can use your favorite partitioner but the one built into Vista works just fine. You will need to shrink the Windows format to the size that you like and make sure that the rest of your HD is empty, if using the Windows partitioner it likes to convert the empty space into free space for itself. If this happens all you have to do is delete the free space and it will be left as empty space. Once you are happy with the sizes then you can run your installer for your Linux Distro and it will install.

Installing Ubuntu on a Mac G3

Ok advice, I redid this recently due to a careless person.
It took 10hour's to install !
So to anybody doing this I recommend patience. The G3 has a habit of ignoring a cd so do this.
Turn machine on and straight away open the cd tray,
Plop the distro onto there and DO NOT CLOSE IT The G3 will take it when it's ready,
If nothing happen's turn off machine and start again
(Honestly it nearly went out the window many time's at my place, so remember patience)
