Signs of a Sick Mind
Well I know that you laughed when I was attacked
And I know that you smiled when I got beat-up as a child
Wasn't fun for me but I'm glad you could find the humor
When the doctor told me, "looks like you got a tumor"
But you know I'll never let you go
Though time and again I know that I should
All I can see are the signs of a sick mind
World-weary wise
Undiseased a rarer find
All told events unfolded
Where the small shall be emboldened
And emblazoned with the logos
And embedded in the firmament
Of a notorious heaven
So it goes when the wrong people know
Tied or weighted down somewhere anchored below
Lost to a slight tilt the soft lilt has lifted
Catch the drift but not draft, the art's a craft unlisted
But you know I'll never let you go
Though time and again I know that I should
All I can see are the signs of a sick mind
But where is the fun in being so good
