Where to buy books?
If you're lucky enough to have a cool independent book store in your town, you should definitley be shopping there.
We here at the Cabal aren't that lucky. If you're not that lucky either, we recommend the following online and/or meatspace stores:
Barnes & Noble
Amazon.com
Powells
Borders
We mostly use Barnes & Noble because there's one nearby and work sometimes hooks us up with B&N gift cards. We've shopped at all of them at one time or another, and they all seem pretty good.

Frank Miller's Sin City The Hard Goodbye by Frank Miller

What the cover says: Worth dying for.
Worth killing for.
Worth going to Hell for.
Amen.
What we say: So it seems that two of the five books that have so far been listed in the archive are comics/graphic novels. 40%. Huh. Because I'm really not a comic book guy. Sure, I have a reasonable geek-level of comic book proficiency, but it's not really my area of expertise.
I picked this book up after watching the Sin City movie. I'm most amazing by how closely the movie follows the book. The movie combines the stories of three separate books, and for this one, at least, follows it exactly. Not just the story, but the dialog and even the camera angles.
Other than that, I don't have much to say. I enjoyed the book, the artwork is great. It was a little anti-climatic after seeing the movie. Definitely worth a read, though.
A final thought: "The Killing, no. No Satisfaction. But everything up until the killing will be a gas. You can scream now if you want to." - Spoken by Marv right before he kills Roark on page 192.
