I love college football, and I'll be doing football updates all week leading up to the first games. Notre Dame hype Our first bit comes from The Red and White from State about Notre Dame. They have a good point: Maybe it's just me, but is 9-3 "the" elite of the college game? Yes, Notre Dame is a sleeping giant. Still, before a coach has even coached his second year in a program (not to mention only his second year as a head coach period,) isn't it a bit early to annoint him a savior? He's done reasonably well with Tyrone Willingham's players. Let see how he does after a few more seasons before we crown him GREATEST COACH EVER(TM).
