Little Llewellyn ("Llewie")

Llewie, a 14.1 h Hannoverian/Welsh sport pony, was generously loaned to me for the summer of 2003 by Colleen and Kathy Meyer. Colleen is my Albion saddler fitter and friend, and Kathy is her daughter. They gave me Llewie to ride because they knew I would need a smart-alecky pony to keep my spirits up while caring for Riley. How right they were.

Llewie can jump the moon but isn't in love with the dressage ring. He also doesn't particularly like having an adult to tell him what to do. We finally came to the agreement that if I can lead the way in the dressage ring, he'll assume all responsibility over the jumps. This pact seemed to work and we had a successful season at Novice, placing 1st at the Apple Knoll unrecognized horse trails, 6th at Huntington, 5th at GMHA, and 3rd at Kingsbury Hill.
