MY RADIO STATIONS OF THE PAST
This is me operating the club station W9BF of the Tri-State College (now Trine University) in Angola, In. in 1965. The club no longer exists and the callsign W9BF was re-issued.
This is my station in Wheaton, Illinois in 1981. I worked most of my DX from this location. My KT-34 at 70' worked exremely well, enough for honor roll (which I never applied for), and my 160 meter inverted "U" netted me 97 countries on 160 before I moved to Batavia.

I was very active in the Wheaton Community Radio Amateurs (WCRA) radio club. I am a former club trustee, vice president, and president. I helped establish the clubs repeaters, particularly the 2 meter repeater.
My shack in Batavia, Il. in 1988. This was my best station and location. Unfortunately I never really got to use the KT-34XA, 2 EL 40 meter beam and all the other antennas. I was here for only three years and moved to Texas. I'll never have s self supporting SSV tower again.  :(
