Work has almost been completed on Dimensional Tides Screensaver and all preperations with regsoft.com to distribute it have been made. This screensaver was originally put on the shelf because i couldn't get any realtime speed out of it. It wasn't until I started reading Special Effects Game Programming with DirectX 8.0 by Mason McCuskey(This is a super great book although i did find that little bitty error on page 7) that i realized that there was a better way of doing things with render to texture operations. On a side note I have been revamping my software renderer that was originally part of Cinder Light Vision. The renderer now sports a perspective correct polygonal texture mapper. The triangles are clipped to the screen using my old 3d clipper that i had from working with glide2x/3x. So far im only getting about 30 fps with one triangle on a Pentium 4 1.5 GHz.
