In The Beginning. My Profile

Hello, as I said my name is Leisha. I am a yellow Labrador Retriever. Papa dog was a Chocolate Labrador and Moms was a yellow Labrador, just like me. I was born down in Howell, Michigan, at the Labrador Puppy Farm.

I just bet you are wondering what this "Super Snoot" stuff is all about. Well, let me tell you. When I was adopted, my owners or masters or whatever you call humankind, would find me just a sniffing and snorting all over the 15 acres they own. So they called me "snoot" for a short nickname. To tell you the truth, I think the nickname name is sort of cute because this is what I do best.

I really have a nice home. I live in my own pen, but most of my time is spent in the people house, on my long trolley wire which is 130 feet long, or I just roam over the whole 15 acres. I like my own house through because when it is too hot, would you believe I have a heated doghouse, I just go out my door into my pen. My doghouse is also air conditioned in the summer time. Pretty neat, right? I get really good food too.

I am a really a very friendly Labrador Dog, but I do have a loud bark. The barking stuff is just to let my human house know there are other unknown people about. I would not really harm anyone unless I though they would harm my adopted friends. I can tell right way if any harm is intended. We Labradors are good at doing that as well as being good at sniffing things out. In fact we Labradors would rather lick and give out doggie kisses than harm anyone.

My New Pack Leaders

When I was first adopted I was sort of scared about what my new home would be like. We dogs always are loyal to our pack leaders. Papa dog and Moms were the pack leaders when I was growing out of puppy hood. So when it came time to live with my adoptive friends I had to find out who was the head pack leader. Well there is the new Papa Dog, Stephen, my new Moms, Charlotte, and a very nice little person Annelise. I soon found that Papa Dog and Moms shared being the pack leader. Annelise is like I was when I was a puppy, but sort of a junior pack leader. I guess I am the low one on the old food chain. That's ok, as long as I know what my duties are.

My first daytime duty is to sleep and get ready for my nighttime duties. The rest of the day is spent playing with the junior pack leader Annelise. We play fetch, run, roller skate, play basketball, and bike. When I am not doing these things, I go out and sniff things out like woodchucks and rabbits. Of course there are those tricky birds who play dumb and can't fly until I am about to grab one, then it can fly really well. I also, announce by barking really loud and ferocious, when strangers come to the house. Well that about it for my day job.

My Night Time Duties

At nighttime the attack killer rabbits come out and start hopping about and all over the place. That is when I start barking real loud to warn all in hearing of this nighttime assault by these killer bunnies. Just when my loud ferocious barking scares them off, out comes the real enemy, the big long horned bunnies with beady eyes that are about five times larger then me. People call these large type rabbits, deer. They also don't smell like rabbits either. Well anyway, it takes a lot of mean ferocious barking to make them not attack. So far I have been successful in driving these attackers off for now.

These two groups of attackers have spies called woodchucks. The woodchucks sneak out during the early morning daylight to plot the next nights attack. The woodchucks pretend to be just eating and doing their own thing, but I know better. The only enemy that I have real control over, at this time, are the cats. I have put the fear of God and me in them! I will let you know more about this later, however, I am on duty all night to protect my human friends that have adopted me from these attacks. I guess that is why I sleep most of the time during the day.

When I am not doing too much around the house I like to watch my favorite little dancer. This is a neat little program. In order to see the dancer you need the Shockwave Flash Plug in or you get Shockwave Flash at www.macromedia.com

Sometimes you just have to fool people into thinking that all you do is NOT just eat, sleep, and play fetch. I talk to all my friends on the internet all the time. After all, we have to exchange tips on how to scare off those killer bunnies.

I also have to keep in touch with McGruff the crime dog and his nephew, Scruff. So you see I do have a very busy life.
