Soo Line 1003 heads the Chocolatefest excursions south between Midway and Honey Creek.
SD45 7592 and SD40 6001 inbound at the north end of Shops Yard around noon. Well see them again as helpers over Byron Hill.
Two SD45s and a GP40 wind their way through the yard to get to the mailine to attach to their train for the long haul up Byron Hill.
Another rare occurance on the WC; a CSXT passenger special swung into Shops Yard, lead by a WC SD45.
I think I can, I think I can... As the Up train in the from the north, the traffic backed up on the east side of Subway road; WC6598 had switching duty and snuck north
with 122 cars. After clearing a switch, the lone SD45 couldn't get enough traction to shove back into the yard and sat with 6 cars across Subway road. After more than 20
minutes of radio chatter, the engineer goosed it and cleared. The drivers *ahem* peeved, to say the least.
A pair of SD45's pulling a train up Byron Hill. Taken with a Sony Digital camera on Maximum Zoom.
An SD40 and SD45 make their way back to Shops Yard from Quad Graphics. Taken from the County F over pass.
An SD45 and an ex-Algoma Central SD40 are returning to the Shops Yard after helping a long freight over Byron Hill. Acoording to the scanner, they were going back to help a UP train over the hill. Photo taken from
County Y grade crossing.
A rare combination of locomotives for the WC. A SD9043MAC and a C44-9W in UP paint. Rolled across Subway Road and into Shops Yard near noon.

A pair of SW1500s are pushing hard on a long string of cars as they make their way onto the mainline, building a train..
A pair of WC switchers are making up a train as the UP train from Green Bay slips into Shops Yard. Taken around noon.
The passenger special with an IC passenger car, CSX's Greenbrier and West Virginia, WC6616 and PRR5340, stops just north of Lakeshore Drive. As the special roared toward
Scott Street, an unlucky semi was turning across the tracks and busted the gates...it had barely cleared(by grinding some gears) when the special rolled in.
Same train with Missabe locomotive, a small road and rail worthy crane. Not sure of it's intended use.
A CN train southbound into Shops yard at Subway Road. The third locomotive was a Duluth, Missabe, and Iron Range SD38-2.

"Slowing for the 20 MPH speed restriction, the 6656 drifts across the
diamond at Bald Eagle with NBST2T-19. Adding to the uniqueness of the rare
F45 is the fact that this automatic interlocking is very possibly the only
one in the upper Midwest that is still protected by smash boards."
After shoving back through Stevens Point yard to make a head end move on to the Plover Sub, T013-19
is about to round the curve toward the old GBW diamond in Whiting Wisconsin just south of Stevens Point.
T013-9 traveling down the Plover Sub in the early evening of May 19th with 47 cars. The train is only one mile north of the

Coming Soon. A day on the WC. The concept is similar to that used by CTC BOARD magazine for their "Day In North America". May 19th will the day
when all interested parties should gather along the WC to record operations for that day. Remember Trespassing is not allowed. :) All pictures submitted must be taken during the 24 hours of May 19, 2001. They must also be taken along the Wisconsin Central System.
I will then accept pictures to be posted here, giving credit to the photographer.
Pictures should be in .jpg format or color prints sent to me for scanning. I will return the prints if you enclose a self
addressed stamped envolope. Contact me if you would like to send prints and need my address. The deadline to submit pictures will be June 9, 2001. Please remember to send the caption you
would like to have posted with the picture.
