For commissioned paintings the creation time for the art truly depends upon what you commission. Generally speaking, and of course varying with size and content, a good average to look at is around one month for paintings.
Sometimes inspiration hits hard the art creates itself quickly. Realistically speaking though, it is better to allow more time to allow the piece to come to it's full potential.
I will keep you posted of how your painting is developing through email correspondence. I will also inform you if the painting is complete before estimated time, as well as, if I feel it is going to take longer.
The thing to remember is that commissions are originals and it is most important that enough time is allowed for the art to come into full bloom.
