PAIR RARE OLD TEAL GREEN DIPPED ACANTHUS LEAF SPILL VASE LAMPS.

This beautiful pair of lamps were constructed from spill vases that have rare reliefs of acanthus leaves rather than the usual standard reliefs of muses, etc. normally used on these vases.  They have the added plus of being in a rare color, the old teal green dip, rather than sage green.  I do not know the date on the vases but know from the color and style, they are likely late 19th or very early 20th century.  The lamps themselves are old, with nice old patinaed brass furniture and parts.  They have simple push toggle type switches.  The cords are original with some paint spatters but have new replacement polarized plugs and the lamps work fine.

Size:  17" high overall, vases are 7 1/2" high, 3" dia.
Marked:
Ca:  Estimated late 19th, early 20th century.

RARE TEAL GREEN DIPPED WEDGWOOD BISCUIT JAR MADE FOR MCVITIE & PRICE, PREMIER BISCUIT MAKERS OF THE UK.

This gorgeous and very unusual shaped biscuit jar was made for McVitie & Price, leading biscuit makers of the UK in 1906.  It has scroll handles,  with exquisite, sharp, translucent reliefs of "Dance of the Hours", floral swags, medallions and acanthus leaves.  The bottom band is floral and ribbon relief and the top band is an unusual scroll pattern.  It has an oval, raised medallion fired into the base with "McVitie & Price, 1906" in relief.  This is one of the most beautiful and delicate shapes I have seen from Wedgwood.

Size:  7 3/4" high, to top of finial, 5 3/4" diameter, 6 3/4" wide across handles.
Marked: Wedgwood, McVitie & Price, 1906
Ca: 1906
Condition:  Firing crack across bottom and around sides. Crack across extends up to bottom band  visible on the outside.  Crack around the inside not visible from the outside.  (See additional photos) This is NOT damaged and repaired.  As you can see from the way the clay separated in the beginning of the crack, there is no question about its being a firing crack. Otherwise, it is perfect, with no dings or chips.

ROSEWOOD STATIONARY BOX WITH WEDGWOOD MEDALLION

Beautiful, like new, stationary box from the mid to late 1800's with pale blue WEDGWOOD Medallion. The wood is gorgeous burled ROSEWOOD with original finish and only the most minimal of scratches for wood this age. The furniture is SILVER WITH BRASS ACCENTS in mint condition. The partitions inside are fully intact with one small cross divider missing. It has its original beautiful Wedgwood blue silk lining in the lid that is immaculate, with no stains, no fraying, no wear. The bottom has its original brown felt pad that shows its wear with only a couple of smooth spots (not worn off anywhere). The Wedgwood medallion is also mint and measures 2" in diameter, framed with a rope border and set in a silver diamond with brass floral accents. There are some interesting items inside. It has a couple of pieces of old writing paper, folded very small and one contains a wax seal with the emblem of a horse. This box is indeed "like new."   I do not believe it was ever really used.  This piece is also part of my personal collection and has been sitting on my dresser for many years.  It is a real treasure.  I have never seen a box this nice.

Size:  8 1/2" long, 6 1/2" high to top of medallion, 4 1/2" deep.
Ca: Mid to late 1800's
Condition:  Absolutely MINT.

WEDGWOOD MAJOLICA DOLPHIN BASED SHELL DESSERT/COMPOTE

The only piece of majolica I have ever owned and have had it for several years. This is a gorgeous piece with beautiful colors.  The photos tell the story better than I can.  Sadly, one dolphin tail has been broken off and all three noses have 1-2 flakes each.  It is otherwise in excellent condition, with only very minor crazing around the heads (where the flaking occurred).  The glaze is very smooth everywhere and no crazing exists other than that noted.  This is a very beautiful and large  and early piece of majolica that I hope can find a good home.

Size:  9 1/8" wide, 9 1/4" deep, 7 1/8" high
Marked:
  Impressed Wedgwood Only.
Ca: Pre-1891

WEDGWOOD 17th/18th C. FRAMED PALE BLUE SOLID JASPER PLAQUE

This gorgeous old plaque has been in my personal collection for many years.  It is very early, late 17th to early 18th Century.  The reliefs are rare Arts & Sciences motif and are absolutely pristine with no firing cracks or staining and are very sharp and clear.  The frame is also very old, in solid brass with gold gilt.  Much of the gilt is intact with wear on the beaded edges.  The plaque is held in the frame with tiny brass screws inserted from the sides.  The chips around the edges may be a result of this configuration.  It also could have been a mantle insert at some point, glued to surrounding molding and was damaged when it was removed.  See photos for details.

Size:  17 3/4" long, 4 3/4" high (out of frame).  Frame overall is 18 1/8" long, 5 5/8 high.
Ca: Late 1700's, early 1800's
Condition:  Chips around edges, otherwise unflawed.
