OA003	*(Click on any image for additional views)*	WOODEN STATUE OF CHINESE COURT OFFICIAL Very old carved wooden statue of a Chinese Court Official. It looks to be made of camphor wood or some other wood that is impervious to termites or rot. We do not know the dynasty, but from the style and carving, it appears to be several hundred years old. The statue is 14" high. It has a chipped off right foot and the neck has been broken off and put back on with some material missing (See photos). Note: This is NOT a modern carving like the souvenir teakwood carvings that are so prolific. It is indeed a very old, authentic and original carving from one of the Chinese dynasties.	$350
OA004		RARE PATRIOTIC WAFER IRON CA. 1796-1803 This cast iron wafer iron impressed wafers with "Eagle and Shield" relief, including 16 stars, which dates it to 1796-1803. It is in excellent condition with some of the original black paint on the handles remaining. The length is 28" not including the closure loop, which is original to the iron and totally intact. The faces measure 5 1/2" in diameter and are still very sharp. It is stamped "No 2" on both sides of the iron. These wafer irons are scarce in general but particularly rare with this motif. A great find for collectors of antique cast iron or Militaria collectors whose interests lie in the American Civil War, Revolutionary War or War of 1812.
