Charlie Dionis

"Charlie Dionis has replaced Bob Hope as top ad-libist."

Accuracy?  Probably true.  All we know at the moment is that Charlie is Corporate Security Director, Worldwide, for the AT&T Corporation.

In his capacity as Security Director, he has worked out of Hong Kong, at the recent Sydney Olympics (that had to be tough duty), and is presently setting up shop in Salt Lake City for the 2002 Winter Olympics.  It's a dirty job, but someone has to do it.

Norbert Dupre

"Norbert Dupre is mayor of Fiskdale, which he has put on the map."

Accuracy?  Well.........

After graduation, spent 21 years in the Air Force (went thru basic with Jack Sheehan), with assignments in Georgia, England, Norway, Westover AFB Mass, California, Germany, New York, Vietnam, and New Mexico.

Married Martha Dement at Westover AFB Mass in December 1960 (just celebrated our 40th anniversary). Have four children: Mike, David, Mark and Dawna, and eleven granchildren.

After I retired from the AF in 1975, moved up to Roseburg, Oregon, my wife's hometown, where I worked for UARCO (business forms) for two years. Got into Federal Civil Service in 1977 and ended up as a Contracting Officer at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico, retiring in March, 1998.

Although I've made many trips back to New England in the past few years, I wasn't able to schedule them when the class reunions were being held. Definitely planning to be at the 50th in 2004, though!

I'm happily retired now, and if anyone needs lessons in round-the-clock loafing, I'm your man.

Diane Gravel Bartkus

"We have some famous nurses in our midst among whom are Diane Gravel of the Mayo Clinic..."

Accuracy?  On the nose.  After graduating form Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1957, Ted and I married and started raising our children on the family farm in Concord, Massachusetts.

My youngest sister, Doris, subsequently married Ted's youngest brother Paul, his partner in the family business.  Together, with our in-laws living next door, we raised nine children between us. (Who, unremarkably, look very much alike.)  Ted and I retired to Cape Cod in 1997, but our children all stayed in the Concord vicinity.

Our daughter Corey and her husband Michael Cole and their two children Mallory and Kevin, live in Westford.

Our son Ted and his wife Karen live with their two children Tobe and Maire in Acton.

Marc, our "Playboy of the Western World" lives in Leominster and manages the pro shop at Doris and Paul's golf course in Westminster.

Our daughter Bryn and her husband Edward Beaulieu and their children Paige, Andrew and Robin, live in Lexington.

Tim, our youngest son, his wife Jennifer, and our newest grandchild Hannah, are keeping the family tradition living on their farm in Royalston, MA.

Helen Ludwin Santilli

"Helen Ludwin has joined the  glorious profession of teaching."

Accuracy?  Very Accurate.  I have retired after 34 years of teaching. Four as a Health and Physical Education Instructor, two in third grade and the other  28 in second grade. I married Anthony Santilli who is retired after teaching  Physical Education at Wells Junior High and coaching football at Southbridge High School.

We have one son Anthony Junior who also teaches Physical Education in Southbridge and is a coach for the Southbridge High School football team. His wife is the Southbridge High School Librarian.  They have two children.

Our Daughter Debbie is a  nurse working as an administrator in the cardiac unit at Rhode Island Hospital. Married, no children. Her husband is Project Specialist for CLS Electric.

Daughter Beckie is a preschool teacher in Sturbridge. Her husband is part owner of All Star Incentive Marketing in Sturbridge. They have three daughters.

Jack Sheehan

"Jackie Sheehan set a world's record by racing down the length of Africa from Tunisia to Cape Town."

Accurate?  Not really.  I never got to Africa, but I do hold the following unofficial record:

Since 1954? U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1958.  Served in Mississippi, Korea, Arizona and Nevada.

Married Loda Slota (Class of 1957) in 1962.  Loda is Executive Assistant to the First Selectman in Harwinton, Connecticut.

I graduated from UMASS in 1965 with a degree in Industrial Engineering and worked for a variety of companies with assignments in a variety of countries.

We have four sons: Timothy, Brendan, Jonathan and Kevin.
