WE HAD A PICNIC!
A small but determined group assembled at the Westville Dam State Park. For details and pictures click here. The current plan is to do it again next summer with more publicity, more advanced notice, and a large amount of arm twisting.
Notification was mailed to all class members that we could reach. The mailing produced a brief flurry of e-mail, but everyone has returned to their caves again, presumably until Spring.

Mayhem at the Whistling Swan
A group of 14 invaded the Whistling Swan Restaurant, which appeared to be in Fiskdale, on Sunday, July 22nd. In approximate alphabetical order they were:
Bill and Donna Allabashi
Ted and Diane (Gravel) Bartkus
Dick Boland
Dick and Laurie (Gravel) Farland
Don and Anni Girard
Paul and Marcia Kollios
Jack and Loda Sheehan
Debbie Sichol
Tom Vangel
A good time was had by all. The last round of Greek Whiskey probably wasn't really necessary, but it did add a nice touch.
See the "Pictures" section for some bad pictures taken with a new digital camera. Need to work on that!

We've always wondered what's been happening with those "Older" people. Here's an opportunity to begin tracking them down.

Guess the Mystery Man

Tony Cleri, Johnny Santelli and Ron Willett are recognizable. And who is the other guy? We don't know, but we'll entertain any guesses that you might have..
Diane Gravel Bartkus was kind enough to share this picture. If anyone else has pictures that we might put up on the web, please mail them to Jack Sheehan. They WILL be returned.

Diane Gravel Bartkus has just checked in with her latest news...
I am so psyched about this website! After being more or less housebound for the last year, it's actually a dream come true. Ted and I get together with Paul Kollios, Dick Boland, Donald and Anni Girard for weekends and often meet for dinner, especially when Bill and Donna Allabashi are in town. Although the company is exceptional, the circle is small. Sally Anderson Watson and Sandra Zitka Twite graciously drove from their homes on the Cape to have lunch with me after the "Big" reunion. Jack Sheehan and I have been swapping letters (of the moral support kind, on his part). I agree with him, reunions just leave me wishing for more time with those classmates to whom you'll only get to comment: "you haven't changed at all". I searched for Charlie Dionis at every reunion, spent most of the time looking for him the night before the reunion. At the reunion we only got to say "I've been looking all over for you". Now here is a case where he hasn't changed a bit . Charlie and I, along with Bill Allibashi, Donald Girard, the Swirbliss twins, Tommy Vangel and Sandra Twite go all the way back to third grade (that's 1943!!!) of the acclaimed Charlton Street School.
