Maggie and Sami live with their mom, Mindy and Loosie, the cat. Maggie is definitely a couch potato who enjoys watching animals on TV. Agility is her favorite sport because she has the opportunity to socialize with humans as well as dogs and she receives those much loved treats. Maggie is beginning "work" as a therapy dog in a local hospital rehab unit. She assumes that everyone, either two legged or four legged, loves her. In this photo, Maggie is in the middle between Sami and Bratty (Rainbow Bridge). Sami (left) enjoys agility, although she is not speedy. She also enjoys pet therapy. She is slightly shy around strangers --it takes her about 10-30 seconds to quietly make up with strangers. Prior to Bratty's death, she was Bratty's ears. She would notify Bratty when the family arrived home, when it was time for dinner, when it was time to go outdoors etc.

Sugar lives with her Mom and Dad and two human sisters, Melissa and Ashley. "I love to give kisses to anyone who'll let me, and going "bye-bye" is my absolute Sugar

favorite thing to do. I've been Queen of the house ever since I came to live with them when I was only 7 weeks old and, being a typical westie, I love all the attention. However, in June 1999, my quiet, peaceful home was disrupted and hasn't been the same since. My mom, Melissa and Ashley came home with a new little bundle of joy...NOT! She is a Cocker Spaniel/American Eskimo mix named Angel, and she's anything but! They were supposed to get a bunny. She looks like an Eskimo and is so naughty. She chews everything, including me! She loves to pounce on me or sit on my head when I'm sleeping, and she routinely brings in the backyard through the doggy doors. Obviously, you can see I'm the good one. :) After a few weeks of adjustment, I got used to the little rascal and we're friends, but sometimes we still fight. I'm still Queen. I hope I can get some peace and quiet for my birthday, lots of treats and a Frosty Paws. Mom says we just had a really big Christmas so no more toys. That's OK. I'll take the treats over the toys any day!! And guess what? Angel and I are going to go with Mom when she picks Melissa up at school in May. Melissa said she'll talk Mom into it. (Yes, Sugar will get lots of treats and love. She'll have to wait til March when I get home for Spring Break to get hugs - and more treats -from me. She was our first dog and she'll always have that special place in our hearts.)

Shane or as he is often called "Moose". His favorite pastime is watching late night TV (especially Mary Tyler Moore) and protecting his friend Heather (13 yrs. 3/18/87 sleeping left) and little buddy and cousin Kelsie (9 mos. 5/25/99 sleeping right). Shane and Mom (Loren) like to go to the pet store getting lots of balls to play with and bones to chew!
