TRIBUTE TO A BEST FRIEND

Sunlight streams through window pane
unto a spot on the floor....
then I remember,
it's where you used to lie,
but now you are no more.
Our feet walk down a hall of carpet,
and muted echoes sound....
then I remember,
It's where your paws would joyously abound.
A voice is heard along the road,
and up beyond the hill,
then I remember it can't be yours....
your golden voice is still.
But I'll take that vacant spot of floor
and lay them with the absent voice
and unused dish along the wall.
I'll wrap these treasured memorials
in a blanket of my love
and keep them for my best friend

Mo, you came to us as a 2 year old who was no longer needed as a breeder.  After hospital care you became a wonderful addition to our family.  You formed a special bond with us and your daughter, Babe.  You were quite skittish but soon came to understand that we would protect you.  You covered us with kisses everyday.  You showed us your gratitude all the time and we kept giving you hugs and telling you thank you for coming to our family.  You were my companion many times when I was laid up.  Mo, you had such a sweet nature it was hard to get upset with you.  You are truly missed.  Babe looks for you, but we know that you will be waiting for us at Rainbow Bridge.  We get comfort in knowing that you are chasing squirrels and rabbits, playing with our other family pets waiting, too. Mo, I want to thank you again and again for letting us into your life and for being a wonderful member of our family.  We loved you so much and miss you terribly.

Tuppence and Jamie lived into their late teens.  They were joyfully reunited with their beloved Mum, Pat Warren of New Zealand at the Rainbow Bridge
in March 2000.

Our Westie Jessie passed away on Saturday, 12th May 2001. She was 11 years old. Jessie was the center of our family.   We bought her in England when she was a puppy and brought her to Switzerland. She was a beautiful and funny Westie. We're all devastated by her sudden death. Within two days she deteriorated and had hardly any blood left in the end (we asked for a post mortem to help us cope with her loss and find out what happened) ...no vet could help. We don't know what to do, our lives are just empty. She was very spoilt and used to sleep in our beds and always followed us around the house. Whenever we ate something we always used to give her a bit of our biscuit or whatever we ate - now there is no one to beg for it - its just so quiet and empty. The only thing that helps us cope with her sudden loss is that she was never in pain and just fell asleep in peace and we didn't have to make the decision to put her to sleep. It was the Lords decision and we have to accept it. Unfortunately my sister went to England a month ago, just for three months - before she left she said to Jessie " Please don't die away before I come back my little darling". As if she suspected. Jessie adored my sister and missed her very much when she left for England. Unfortunately she never knew that my sister would come back soon. At the moment everything reminds us of her it's just so painful.

Jessie we will never ever forget you and you will always be in our hearts for ever and ever. Hopefully we will meet again one day and we will be able to hold you in our arms again.
